Approximately 90 of VAV's apartments come up for rent every month. In addition we build new housing, which we market on our website and in the local press well ahead of completion.

The selection of tenants for state-subsidised rental apartments is based on the Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland's (ARA) tenant selection guide, which is used to define the criteria for allocating tenants to apartments in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. In addition to this, many properties are subject to the means test limits set by the state. Although income limits were removed on April 1st 2008, they still remain as criteria for selecting tenants.

Vacant apartments are offered to applicants who have already submitted an application. You can register as an applicant electronically under "Applying for apartment". Application forms with instructions are also available from VAV Asunnot Oy's offices and the general service points of the City of Vantaa.
